We would like welcome you to The Cart Barn Inn and make you feel that you have arrived at the place you could feel at ease.

But first, let's introduce ourselves. We are Paul & Kay Tyler.  We own and are the innkeepers of Cart Barn Inn.  We were both born in Calhoun County.  We went to the same small town school, became sweethearts while in high school, married while young, and have stayed that way, both married & young, for 44 years.

We are Christian and attend First Baptist Church in Bruce where we both sing in the adult choir and are active in other organizations in the church. 

We have 2 children.  Robert & wife Teena are partners with us in Tycom.net, a local internet service in Bruce.  They live in Bruce and operate that business.  Alison, our daughter, lives in Coppell, Texas and has a 10 year old son, Tyler.  He is very active in sports in the Dallas area and keeps his mom on the road to games.  

We left Calhoun County in pursuit of education and higher rungs on the corporate ladder for 10 years.  We came back to Bruce in 1975 and have never regretted once the "coming back home".

We belong to Bruce Chamber of Commerce, Oxford/Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce, and Mississippi Bed & Breakfast Association.
 

We have always traveled and enjoyed it very much.  On several trips, we stayed at Bed & Breakfast Inns.  The atmosphere in a B&B is like being at home.  We always felt welcome and secure by the innkeepers, most of which were sold-out to making us feel that way.  That's one of the reasons we wanted to start a B&B in Bruce.  We also felt that it would be a great asset to our area since there were no other adequate accommodations.

 

  

Our favorite hobbies are riding our Harley, painting with oils, and golf.  We live on the golf course, so that makes that one work well.  Kay paints flowers, landscapes, and other scenery as well as portraits.

Some of the best motorcycle riding roads in North Mississippi are in our area.  That makes another one of our hobbies work well.  We also made sure our Inn is motorcycle friendly.
