We would like welcome you to The Cart Barn Inn and make you feel that you have arrived at the place you could feel at ease.

But first, let's introduce ourselves. We are Paul & Kay Tyler.  We own Cart Barn Inn.  We were both born in Calhoun County.  We went to the same small town school, became sweethearts while in high school, married while young, and have stayed that way, both married & young, for 47 years.

As Christians we want to thank God for blessing us and giving us a wonderful family.

  

 
 

We have 2 children.  Our son, Robert.  He & his wife, Teena, live in Bruce.

Alison, our daughter,  has 2 children, a 14 year old son, Tyler, and a 2 year old daughter, Jaelee. They live in Bruce also.  Tyler is very active in sports, loves to play golf, soccer, football, and shoot guns.  Jaelee is living a life of leisure, sleeps until she wants to wake up, eats, plays, and goes back to sleep when she wants.  We are so blessed and so thankful for our family.
 
We left Calhoun County in pursuit of education and higher rungs on the corporate ladder for 10 years.  We came back to Bruce in 1975 and have never regretted once the "coming back home".

We belong to Bruce Chamber of Commerce, Oxford/Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce, and Mississippi Bed & Breakfast Association.

 

Our favorite hobbies are riding our Harley, painting with oils, and golf.   Kay paints flowers, landscapes, and other scenery as well as portraits.

Some of the best motorcycle riding roads in North Mississippi are in our area.  That makes another one of our hobbies work well.  We also made sure our Inn is motorcycle friendly.

We have always traveled and enjoyed it very much.  On several trips, we stayed at Bed & Breakfast Inns.  The atmosphere in a B&B is like being at home.  We always felt welcome and secure by the innkeepers, most of which were sold-out to making us feel that way.  That's one of the reasons we wanted to start a B&B in Bruce.  We also felt that it would be a great asset to our area since there were no other adequate accommodations.
